We finished season three a few days ago and were very disappointed
I would give the first and second seasons a 9 out of 10, but only a 4 out of 10 for the third season. The cancer storyline dominated the entire season, which some people welcomed, but made it unwatchable for others. There are multiple scenes in each episode where they just talk about cancer, and in some episodes you don’t even see Superman, or if you do, it’s for a short while.
What a difference!
We got through it though and were relieved when Lex Luthor showed up late in the series and he looked more like Superman again. We finished season three and went straight back to the beginning of season one. Season one is so beautiful; the action is top notch, the effects are top notch, and the acting is top notch.
It’s like a completely different show
We really hope season 4 goes back to the old Superman and Lois. As a family that has experienced cancer (as most have), season three just didn’t feel like Superman. It was very depressing at times, not the escape from the ‘real world’ that we need after a hard day at the office.
